Jamaal's landlord reports that he called 911 a long time ago, but knowing this city, that it would take a while.
He stayed with Jamaal until the paramedics came and assisted Jamaal. To protect his renting security, he promised Jamaal that if he made it through this, he wouldn't charge him a late fee and his debt would be paid for. How nice of him? Once having Jamaal on the stretcher, one of the paramedics searched his apartment for any perscribed medication bottles he may have been taking. He found twelve, along with numerous bottles of alcohol and what looks like to be empty mini drug baggies. For lack of evidence, they gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Having him secured and safely attended to, the paramedics carefully took him out the apartment and placed him in the back of the ambulance.
"What could be so bad that he would do this to himself?" the leading paramedic asked.
The landlord replied, "I don't know, but it seems as if he is a train wreck waiting to happen."
