If watching Grey's Anatomy has taught me one thing in life, it's that even though you may be a medical professional and have an illness, life doesn't just give you a pass.
As an emt, there's always "one more shift". "One more call". "One more patient". Regardless if I'm having a good day or bad day. Flare up or not.
I'm so busy worrying about other people's ailments that I have no one to worry about my own.
